PFC on Tour 16: Maidenhead of steam
The gorgeous, Swan-like space that is the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead was our venue for yesterday evening’s show. We arrived early so Tom, Brendan and Ben could enjoy the rugby and Matthew could enjoy soundchecking and setting up the props for the show. As the show began we realised that there were a couple of quite young kids in the audience. We try not to change the show to suit the audience but a few not-entirely-neccessary swears were replaced with ‘goddamns’. For some reason this amused us no end and each goddamn was met by a giggles from the other three.
Once again it was another packed house.
Ben brought the show to a near-standstill by failing to appear onstage during a pivotal moment in the show but it was Brendan’s turn to play the clumsy prick-end tonight, as he exited a sketch by walking into a temporary wall. His version of styling it out was to do it a second time later in the show- so that, “people would think I had done it on purpose the first time.” No one was fooled.
Once again it was another packed house.
