A nice big audience (that included Brendy's father and star of Channel 4's Comedy Lab, Alan Dodds) came out to see us at Coventry's Warwick Arts Centre last night. Prior to the gig Matthew had been wandering about outside reciting his usual mantra of "What can I Twitter about?" when he came across seasons 5 and 6 of Seinfeld in the Arts Centre's gift shop for £5 each. Thus, the others were treated to the sight of him running backstage in an asthmatic panic to grab his wallet- despite the fact that the show was due to start in mere moments. The show itself was a happy shambles with several young kids in the audience, clearly lured in by the vibrant poster design and kiddie-show title. It's only when you have kids in that you realise exactly how un-family this show can be. "Daddy? What does tossed off a unicorn mean?"
Further excitement came during the drive onto the campus. Check out the awesome sign they had to advertise the show. It's not quite having your name in lights but, as PBH might put it, "it's bloody close!"
Here's a picture that Brendy took of the venue that makes it look quite ominous. It isn't.
And here's one of us that makes us look like two couples. Which we almost are. But what goes on tour, stays on tour!
